Stacey Wright, 45, of Muse died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Muse Baptist Church with Carrol Fitzgerald and Mark Cook officiating. Burial will be in Muse Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Willie Claud Willis, 85, of Red Oak died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, in Muskogee. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at United Freewill Baptist Church in Red Oak with Rev. Eugene Christenberry officiating. Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is handling arrangements.
Roger Ed Rorie, 54, of Shady Point died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, in Shady Point. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Panama, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Berniece Medlock, 75, died Dec. 6, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Talihina. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Whitesboro Assembly of God with burial at Whitesoro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Neville Monroe Brehm, 91, formerly of Poteau, passed away peacefully in his home in Tulsa on Dec. 5, 2011. He was born in Poteau, on April 4, 1920, to Homer and Jeannette (Hamilton) Brehm. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Marjorie Brehm, and his daughter, Beverly Ann Hesser, of Poteau.
Earl “Leon” Williams, 82, of Panola, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Panola Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Head officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Heavener Memorial Park Cemetery.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Jones-Harkins Funeral Home, Wilburton.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Ladies, gentlemen, and children of all ages. Get ready, The Santa Train is coming to town. The 11th Annual Holiday Express will be riding into Poteau on Thursday December 8th at 4 p.m.
According to a press release from Kansas City Southern the 11th Annual Holiday Express with distribute exactly $108,550 in the form of gift cards to the Salvation Army in order to provide warm clothing and other necessities for the Children in need at several different stops along the Holiday Express route.

An argument between brothers ended in death Monday night in Muse Oklahoma. According to Sheriff Bruce Curnutt, the department received a call to report a shooting at approximately 6:55 pm. Officers arrived on the scene to find Stacey Joseph Wright,45, deceased in the back yard of the residence of his brother, Christopher D. Wright,46.

Lt. Governor Todd Lamb spoke at the Poteau town hall meeting Monday on his tour of the 77 Oklahoma counties. The issues talked about were the impediments in Oklahoma's economic growth. According to Lamb, his goals were for him to represent the entire state, and not just a few counties.
