KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Oklahoma Elite softball team is now facing elimination every time it takes the field from here on at the 2011 World Series.
A day after posting a comeback victory, the Elite had the same thing done to it. Trailing 4-2, Nemesis 16 Gold from Lincoln, Neb., rallied to down the Elite 5-4 Friday morning.
The loss dropped the Elite into the loser's bracket, with the first elimination game slated for 8 a.m. this morning. The Elite must win five games today to survive to see action on Sunday.
TULSA — Thursday night closed a chapter in life which was dear to both Talihina Golden Tiger basketball players Taggart Lockhart and Jordan EagleRoad. The local duo played together in their final high school basketball game, so to speak.
Lockhart and EagleRoad played for the Small East in Thursday night's Oklahoma Coaches Association Small School All-State Basketball Game at the Oral Roberts University Mabee Center.

Since there's the annual Panama Preseason Softball Tournament the weekend prior to the fast-pitch season getting started, I figured when this year's version rolled around I would use it to my advantage.
