Two of the local football teams who played Thursday night at Costner Stadium were winners.
The Pansy Kidd Middle School eighth-grade and seventh-grade team posted wins over Mena, Ark., but the Poteau Pirate freshmen team suffered a loss.
Prior to the Pirates losing 21-6 to Mena, the PKMS eighth-grade Raiders won 35-12 while the seventh-grade Raiders posted a 20-6 victory.
BOKOSHE — After suffered a two-and-out at the 2011 LeFlore County Tournament, the Leflore Lady Savages bounced back to post a 9-5 road win over the Bokoshe Lady Tigers Thursday afternoon.

WISTER — Wister pitcher Corey Bullard got his first win of the season Thursday afternoon as he struck out eight batters as the Wildcats won 12-0.

Whitesboro 18, Eagletown 7: In Eagletown, the Bulldogs (10-11) broke open a close game in the middle innings.
Battiest 3, Leflore 2: In Leflore, the Panthers broke a 2-2 tie with a run in the seventh inning.
