It looked like a sixth-inning run was going to pull it out for the Poteau Lady Pirates in Monday afternoon's cancer game against Red Oak.
But a three-run rally by the Lady Eagles in the seventh inning rallied Red Oak to a 4-2 victory.
It was quite a good weekend for a lot of LeFlore County fast-pitch softball teams and fall baseall teams last week as several won district-tournament titles. As for baseball, Wister (Class A) and Whitesboro (Class B) also won their district tournaments.
