Carl Albert men upset 10th-ranked Coffeyville, but Lady Vikings fall

Behind 27 points from Adrion Webber and strong play on both ends of the floor, the Carl Albert State College Vikings shocked the 10th-ranked Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College in a 72-70 upset Tuesday night in Coffeyville.
However, the news was not as good for the Carl Albert Lady Vikings. Despite getting a career-high 15 points from Ericka Edwards, the Lady Vikings lost 61-52 loss to Coffeyville in the first game Tuesday night.
Both teams will be in Thanksgiving holiday events Friday and Saturday.

Mrs. Joyce Darlene Parks, 72, of Talihina died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at her residence. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church, Talihina, on Tuesday, Nov. 20, with Mark Cook officiating. Burial was in Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.

Frank Edmound Wilson

Frank Edmound Wilson, 51, of Poteau died on Nov. 20, 2012, in Poteau. He was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Freemont, Calif., to Darl and Tina (Brown) Wilson. He was a retired self-employed heavy equipment operator. 
He is preceded in death by father, Darl Wilson.

CASC basketball teams split Saturday road games with Western

Behind a solid first half on both ends of the floor and balanced scoring, the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings won their Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference opener 64-57 over Western Oklahoma State College on Saturday afternoon in Altus.
Despite getting 20 points from Jaymere Hadden, it wasn't enough for the Carl Albert State College Vikings as they lost their conference opener 87-56 to Western later that night.
Both CASC teams will return to action tonight on the road against Coffeyville, Kan. The women's game will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 8.
