Mrs. Joyce Darlene Parks, 72, of Talihina died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at her residence. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church, Talihina, on Tuesday, Nov. 20, with Mark Cook officiating. Burial was in Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Frank Edmound Wilson, 51, of Poteau died on Nov. 20, 2012, in Poteau. He was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Freemont, Calif., to Darl and Tina (Brown) Wilson. He was a retired self-employed heavy equipment operator.Â
He is preceded in death by father, Darl Wilson.

Behind a solid first half on both ends of the floor and balanced scoring, the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings won their Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference opener 64-57 over Western Oklahoma State College on Saturday afternoon in Altus.
Despite getting 20 points from Jaymere Hadden, it wasn't enough for the Carl Albert State College Vikings as they lost their conference opener 87-56 to Western later that night.
Both CASC teams will return to action tonight on the road against Coffeyville, Kan. The women's game will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 8.
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder played very well Friday night at New Orleans and looked to keep on track with a win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Kevin Durant, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday, made sure of that by securing his first triple-double of his career with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Thunder past the Warriors 119-109.
Margaret Marie Parks, 87, of Howe died Sunday, Nov. 18, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov, 21, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Burial will be in Ellis Chapel Cemetery.
