Billy Hugh Huston, 90, of Spiro died Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Tucker Church of Christ. Burial will be in Cowlington Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Laverne Lovelace, 72, of Spiro died Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro.
Bonnie Sue Green, 98, of Panama died
Friday, May 25, 2012, in Pocola. Bonnie
was born June 8, 1913, in Calhoun to
Robert Lee and Mattie (Irvin) Cheely. She
was a housewife. Bonnie was preceded in
death by her parents; husband, Norman
Green (former mayor of Panama) on March
20, 1984; sisters, Pearlie Brock and Myrtle
Jordan; brother and sister-in-law, James
Dewey and Lucille Cheely.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian
and Robert Stankewitz of Panama, Verna Lee and Robert
Morgan of Chino, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Vickie
Rowene Myrtle Spears, 95, of Bokoshe
died Monday, May 28, 2012, in Bokoshe.
Rowene was born March 9, 1917, in Santa
Maria, Calif., to Chris H. and Mamie
(Launders) Kortner. She was a homemaker
and a member of the First Christian Church
in Santa Maria. She was preceded in death
by her parents; husband, Wilbur Spears;
sister, Betty Shelburne; daughter, Barbara
Moorehead; grandsons, Darrell and Joseph; and greatgreat
grandson, Jacob.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Lovell of
Bokoshe; grandchildren, Rose and Wes Young of Pocola,
Wanda Ann Carver Stacy, 65, of Henderson, Nev., died
April 23, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Wanda was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Los Angeles to
Lindsey and Ermel Bartley Carver. She grew up on a farm
run by her grandparents, J.B. and Talitha Carver, near
Milton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband,
Jim Stacy.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dallas
and Jason Johnston, and granddaughters, Riley and Kendal
Johnston of Henderson; brother and sister-in-law, Leon
and Retha Carver of Princeton, Texas; and other family
members.
Rebecca (Conrad) McDonald, 94, of Spiro died Friday, May 25, 2012. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Christian Grove Free Will Baptist Church under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Herbert Oscar Upchurch Jr., 61, of Poteau died Friday, May 25, 2012, in Poteau. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Henryetta McKesson, 98, of Fort Coffee died Friday, May 25, 2012. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Mount Triumph MIssionary Baptist Church under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Lois Pauline Rodgers, 91, of Spiro died Saturday, May 26, 2012. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Charlene (Wells) Releford, 99, of Spiro died Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Roselawn Cemetery inn Spiro under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
