The 15th annual Poteau Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Monday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
Lunch and check-in will begin at noon Monday.
The entry fee is $65 per person or $130 per two-player team. Two mulligans will be available for $10, with a limit of four per team.

Friday Couple Scrambles will take place at 5:30 p.m. every Friday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.

Betty Florence Hackney, 79, of Heavener died Thursday, June 14, 2012, in Heavener. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at her favorite fishing hole on Wister Lake.
John Schleupner, 64, of Poteau died Monday, June 18, 2012, in Poteau. John was born September 21, 1947, in New Jersey. He worked at OK Foods Inc. in Fort Smith, Ark., as Director of Quality Assurance since 1993.
Survivors include his mother, Lillian Schleupner of Springfield, N.J.; brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Eleanor Schleupner of Mocksville, N.C.; their two children, Heather Schleupner of Mocksville and son, James Wallace of Chicago; uncle, George Ilg of New Jersey; aunt, Maria Franzo of New Jersey; cousins, Andy and Jeannie Schleupner of New Jersey.Â

I got my boat back, and took Cash and his buddy, Keaton Canada, out on a little fishing trip Tuesday morning. The boys each caught two fish, and I caught one —- but they had a heck of a good time, and I bet I will be taking them again soon.
