Ruby Fay Kozderka, 86, of Cameron died Thursday Aug. 9, 2012, in Cameron. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Pocola.
Marilyn Baxter Seamas, 44, of Spiro died Sunday, 29, 2012. The family will hold a memorial services at a later date. Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Bea Forrest, 68, of Wister died Aug. 9, 2012, in Wister. No services are planned at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. You may leave an on-line greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com.
The LeFlore County District Attorney's Office filed charges against a man accused of raping his ex-wife.
Adam Gilbert Piaquadio, 37, of Fort Smith, is accused of sexually assaulting his ex-wife while she slept. According to the affidavit, he also took pictures of the incident. When his ex-wife woke up she reportedly screamed for help and called 911.
Police say the victim was standing in the front yard when they arrived and she claimed Piaquadio had tried to run over her with his vehicle as he was leaving.
The Concert under the Stars Series continues at the Donald W. Reynolds Center Saturday night with live music at the amphitheater.
The Beer and Chicken Band are scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. They play country, rock, pop and even a little disco.
The cost of admission is $5 per person. You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
