December 14th
The 2013 circuit of the LeFlore County Bass Club tournaments has been set.
The first tournament will be Jan. 26 at Grasshopper Landing on Broken Bow Lake.
On Feb. 17, the circuit will make a stop at Chicken Creek on Lake Tenkiller before going to Highway 9 East on Lake Eufaula on March 16.
The first of two stops at Potato Hills South on Sardis Lake will take place April 6, with the second stop occurring on May 19.
There will be a stop at Applegate Cove on Robert S. Kerr Reservoir on April 28.

Several Poteau Youth Wrestling Club members had successful performances last weekend in two tournaments.
At the Hulbert Novice Tournament, 21 members represented the organization, with 16 of them placing.
Logan Randolph (Division I), Braden Brown (Division II), Ethan Carey (Division III), Tyler Broom (Division IV) and Jaxon Jordan (Division IV) all won their weight-class championships.
Talan Fairless (Division I), Collin Simkins (Division IV), Cole Adams (Division IV) and Conner Williams (Division V) all came in runners-up.
The weather finally feels like December, and I have been hooked up at work and haven’t got to hunt since the cold front hit. This should get the deer in feeding mode, so hunting food sources should be good this time of year.
This weekend, I am going to get to hunt at least one day, so maybe the weather will cooperate — and I can get a shot at a deer. Last weekend, Dan Carter and I took our wives on a weekend trip to stay in a cabin near Sardis Lake.
A benefit has been scheduled to help a local family struggling with illness.
On Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the Panama Elementary School cafeteria, a benefit will be held to help Tim Crase and his family. The event will feature a silent auction and will offer hamburgers and hotdogs and a pie and cake auction. All proceeds will benefit the Crase family.
A baby born with a life-threatening medical condition needs your help.
A benefit event, Believing in Brynlee, has been organized for 6 p.m. Saturday at The Coffee Cup in Poteau.
When little Brynlee was born in July to Brandy Davis and Matt Driver, her fight for life had only just begun. Brynlee was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, also known as Edward’s Syndrome.
