The LeFlore County Youth Services Golf Tournament and Dinner will take place May 24. The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. at Choctaw Country Club, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. that morning and lunch will be provided.
The entry fee is $50 per person for the four-player scramble, which inlcudes one free mulligan. Extra mulligans will cost $5 each, with a limit of two per player. Entry forms can be picked up at the LCYS office or entry may be done prior to the start of the tournament.
TISHOMINGO — It was a not a good day for the Carl Albert State College baseball team Thursday afternoon as it lost a doubleheader to the Murray State College Aggies at the MSC Baseball Field. The host Aggies took a pair of run-rule games 15-5 and 14-3 — both of which ended after five innings.
The same two teams will go at it at 1 p.m. this afternoon in a doubleheader at Ival Goodman Field.
MIAMI, Okla. — The Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings softball team dropped a pair of games Thursday afternoon to the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Lady Norse by scores of 2-0 and 5-1.
The Lady Vikings were to have played a doubleheader today (Saturday) against Rose State College in Midwest City, then play a twinbill Sunday afternoon in Altus against Western Oklahoma State College, but both set of games were rained out. Both are trying to be rescheduled, but have not been done so at this time.

A local business is recovering after armed assailants
assaulted the clerk and robbed them Wednesday morning.
According to Heavener Assistant Chief of Police
Lester English, three people entered the Selecito Market
Wednesday at approximately 9:45 a.m. wearing face
masks, brandishing handguns and demanding money
from the clerk. The men then fled the scene with an
undisclosed amount of cash.
The store had a functioning surveillance system
which recorded the robbery and police have since
reviewed the footage in attempts to identify the suspects.
Earlier this season, the Carl Albert State College Vikings baseball team went to its archrival, Eastern Oklahoma State College, in Wilburton, and left town with a victory.
Tuesday afternoon at Ival Goodman Field, the Mountaineers returned the favor by run ruling the Vikings 16-5 in seven innings of a scheduled nine-inning contest.
After Carl Albert played Murray State in a road doubleheader Thursday afternoon at the MSC Baseball Field in Tishomingo, the Vikings will welcome the Aggies for a twinbill beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ival Goodman Field.
The 2012 Hershey Track Meet will take place at 5 p.m. April 23 at Heavener's Harvey Stadium.
Registration forms and a copy of child’s birth certificate can be dropped off or mailed to Boys and Girls Club of LeFlore County at 205 Dewey, Suite 6, Poteau, OK 74953. Application deadline is Wednesday. On-the-site applications will not be accepted.
Events will include the 50-meter dash, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, 1,600-meter run, 400-meter relay, standing long jump, and softball throw.
