A Poteau man was charged with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a steak knife.
Michael D. Jefferson, 42, of Poteau is accused of cutting his girlfriends cheek several times with a steak knife during an altercation. His girlfriend told police Jefferson also grabbed her by the neck.
Jefferson was jailed at the LeFlore County Detention Center in connection with the incident. He has been released after posting bail in the amount of $10,000.
The Poteau Youth Wrestling Club had representation in three different events, with at least one wrestler medal in each.
At the Cascia Hall Tournament in Tulsa, three members, Jarrett Lilley, Parker Rosenberg and Riley Rosenberg, participated. Lilley placed first in his division, while Parker Rosenberg was third in his division. Lilley will represent the club at the Junior High State Tournament in Oklahoma City this weekend.
