Then, the two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Four Poteau Pirate wrestlers will get the chance to win state titles this weekend at the Class 4A State Tournament, which will take place Friday and Saturday at Oklahoma City's State Fair Arena.
For three of them, Devin Anderson (120 pounds), Derek Francis (170) and Gabe Sanchez (195), they will be making their first-ever appearances at state.
Senior Tyler Tustin will try to three-peat as state champion at 138 pounds, and believes that he is performing his best now than ever before.
The second tournament of the LeFlore County Bass Club's 2013 circuit took place Sunday at Chicken Creek on Lake Tenkiller. There were 41 boats, filled with anglers who caught 112 fish that had a total weight of 322.41 pounds. Each fish had an average weight of 2.88 pounds, and 14 limits were caught — with five of the 112 fish caught weighing more than five pounds.
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and veterans.
