The public is invited to the dedication of the Henry J. Heflin Pavilion on Saturday at Lake Wister State Park.
State Rep. James Lockhart and Sen. Jerry Ellis will be on hand for the ceremony along with Heflin family members and descendants.
The legislators sponsored a bill to authorize the naming of the Victor Camping Area pavilion in honor of Heflin, a LeFlore County pioneer who once owned the land where the camping area sits.
