Donna Kay Nelson, 52, of Heavener died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
Leon Followill, 84, of Albion died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Grace Living Center in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, in Albion Cemetery.Â Burial willÂ be under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
Inez Woodall, 89, of Wister died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, in Wister.
Inez was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Howe to Warren Daniel and Lorena Lura (King) Morris. Inez attended school at Victor and Glendale. She was a seamstress. Inez worked for Hamlin Manufacturing for many years. Inez was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Wister; she loved her church where she taught the Joy Sunday School class. She was a wonderful cook, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.Q. Woodall, on April 20, 1998; two brothers and two sisters.
Nancy Wood, 63, of Monroe died Jan. 8, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born May 18, 1950, in Monroe to Alvin and Pervie (Mitchell) Daniel. She was a licensed practical nurse.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Ella Bowles.
She is survived by two sons, Jeremy Wood and wife Rhonda of Edmond and Jerrod Wood and wife Tami of Oilton; a daughter, Jennifer Lopez of Poteau; three brother, James Daniel of Wister, Stan and Steve Daniel of Monroe; five grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna, Allison, Tyler and Samantha; and many more family members, friends and loved ones.
Despite four Lady Vikings reaching double-figures, it wasn't enough for them in their 79-73 loss to Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa Thursday night at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
A strong showing on the offensive end by NOC-Tonkawa proved to be the difference for the Mavericks in their 87-80 win over the Carl Albert State College Vikings in the second game of the night.
The CASC teams will return to action Monday night with road games against Murray State College at Gene Robbins Arena in Tishomingo. The women's game will be at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m.
