PANAMA â€” Carl Albert State College softball coach David Holt signed his second LeFlore County softball player in as many days when he signed Panama senior Stephanie Barcheers to a letter of intent Thursday morning in a signing ceremony inside the Panama Gym. Holt signed Poteau pitcher RaeLynn Caldwell less than 24 hours before on Wednesday afternoon.

WISTER â€” Summer won't be here until June, but it came in the form of senior guard Summer Stockton on Tuesday night for the Panama Lady Razorbacks in the 82nd LeFlore County Tournament at the Wister Gym.
Down 13 points in the final period, Stockton hit a long-range 3-point basket with 18 seconds left to tie the game at 62 to force overtime with the Arkoma Lady Mustangs, then used a 10-3 extra period to complete the comeback win 72-65 in Tuesday night's championship quarterfinal.

Ever since she was a junior, Poteau senior softball pitcher RaeLynn Caldwell was fairly sure she would be a Carl Albert State College Lady Viking. It became reality Wednesday afternoon when she signed with the local two-year junior college in a ceremony inside the high school.
â€śI was hoping this day would happen, but I figured it was going to,â€ť Caldwell said after she put her John Hancock on the softball letter of intent.
