Richard Lee Nix, 58, of Heavener died Friday, March 28, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Family Worship Center in Heavener. Burial will be in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home.
Barbara Helen Nichols, 61, of Poteau died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â
No services are scheduled at this time. Evans and Miller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

More than 400 people turned out Saturday [March 29] for the first half marathon and the annual Vike Hike that began at Carl Albert State College.
The northbound lanes of the Cavanal Scenic Expressway were closed Saturday morning as runners completed the course of the marathon.

An education rally being held today [March 31] in OK City is underway and many area educators, parents and students are at the Capitol in support.
Those in attendance at the rally hope their voice helps bring more funding for Oklahoma education.
Poteau Schools are closed today to accommodate the many from the school district who planned to attend.
Gov. Mary Fallin said last week she plans to seek a $50 million increase in education funding regardless of the current $190 million budget shortfall.
In less than two hours today [March31] a benefit dinner will begin to help a Hodgen family who lost their home to fire.
The dinner will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Hodgen School cafeteria to benefit Mike and Lisa Cox and family.
