Fred Junior Stafford of Heavener died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in Heavener.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Weeks Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home..

Glenn H. Dollar

Glenn H. Dollar, 81, of Cameron died Sunday March 23, 2014, in Cameron. Glenn was born July 24, 1932, in Konawa to Ambrose and Margaret (Howard) Dollar. He was an electrician. Glenn was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Dollar; sisters, Velma Beaver and Margie New.
Glenn loved his children, riding horses and being outdoors. He also enjoyed building things.

Trade Show two weeks away

The eighth annual Eastern Oklahoma Ag Trade Show will be held again this year April 8 at the LeFlore County Fairgrounds. 
Speakers will be on hand to discuss a variety of agricultural topics. The doors will be open to the public at 8:30 a.m. for visiting the exhibitor booths. The morning speaker sessions will begin at 9 a.m.
Afternoon sessions will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Parts of bypass closing for half marathon

The state Transporation Department plans to block the northbound lanes to motor vehicles from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, for the Vike Hike half marathon, according to race host Carl Albert State College.
All northbound traffic will be detoured onto Broadway at the south exit near Riverside Ford and Assembly of God church.

EOMC landscaping projects discussed

RED OAK — The good news for the Wister Wildcats baseball team had better games in Day 2 in the Red Oak Festival, but they still suffered a pair of losses on Thursday — losing 1-0 to the host Eagles and 10-4 to Hilldale.
In the loss to Red Oak, it was a pitching duel between Red Oak's Tyler Parks and Wister's Scotty Gibson.
Parks got the win as he pitched six inning with seven strikeouts. Chase Butcher pitched the seventh inning to get the save. The duo combined to six-hit the ’Cats.
In defeat, Gibson pitched six innings, fanned seven batters and scattered five hits.

Carl Albert baseball team returns to action with road doubleheader today against Rose State College; Vikings will play Connors State College in home single nine-inning game Sunday afternoon

The Carl Albert State College baseball team will return to action for the first time since March 11 when they play three games in two days this weekend.
The Vikings (7-8) will visit Rose State College for a doubleheader beginning at 2 this afternoon in Midwest City.
Then, CASC will entertain the Connors State College Cowboys in a single, nine-inning contest at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ival Goodman Field.

Pocola girls run rule Roland for home win

POCOLA — The Pocola Lady Indians softball team will take some momentum into next week as they got a Spring Break home run-rule victory over the Roland Lady Rangers by a score of 13-3 in a four-inning, run-rule win.

Cameron, Wister girls each go 1-2 in Red Oak Festival

RED OAK — Both the Cameron Lady Yellowjackets and Wister Lady Wildcats softball teams went 1-2 in Thursday's action in the Red Oak Festival.
The Lady ’Jackets beat McCurtain 10-8, while losing 13-1 to host Red Oak and 10-0 to Rattan.
The Lady ‘Cats defeated McCurtain 3-0, but lost 12-2 to Red Oak and 14-3 to Rattan.
