When I first heard the news of Adrian Peterson being arrested for child abuse, I thought, it can't get any worse than this — and then I got the details of what he did.
He did nothing more than switch his child. A form of discipline that he grew up with and what probably made him the player and the person he is today. He left a few welts on his child's legs.
My goodness, one time my grandmother switched me, and I thought was going to kill me.
Why is everybody getting their panties in a wad about AD for disciplining his child and calling for the reinstatement of Ray Rice?
ADA — Poteau’s Kandace Standridge, who was the Class 4A 800-meter run state champion, won the East Central University Invitational cross country meet Thursday, running the course in 13:09.

Standridge was joined by teammate Sheridan Hoyer in the top 10, as the Poteau senior was ninth (14:40).
There should have been the opening-day games of the 2014 LeFlore County Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament tonight. However, Mother Nature had other ideas.
Due to wet fields, today’s opening-day games were postponed until Tuesday, with Tuesday’s originally-slated games taking place Thursday. Thursday’s games will take place Monday, meaning it will be next week before the county champion will be crowned.
