Two LeFlore County high Schools, Whitesboro and Leflore, saw their Tuesday night basketball games canceled due to weather problems.
The Whitesboro teams were to have entertained Panola, but the games were postponed as Whitesboro was still out of school due to the effects of last week's wintry storm. In fact, Whitesboro Public Schools were out Wednesday for the same reason. No make-up date of these games has been set.
The Poteau Pirates will play in the Class 4A state championship game Saturday afternoon in Stillwater. My family and I are planning on going to watch Clint and Candeeda’s little brother, Cord Lawrence, and the rest of the Pirates play for the state title. Go Big Red!

Gun season has passed again, and I had a good one this year — even though I did not kill a big buck. I did get to hunt with friends and family, which is very important to me.
Have a great week!
