Heavener duo qualify for next weekend’s state cross country meet; Lady Wolves, Wolves both finish ninth as teams

October 21, 2014

HENRYETTA — The good news for the Heavener High School cross country program is that it will have representatives at next Saturday’s Class 3A State Meet at Shawnee’s Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech Center. The not-so-good news is that there only will be a Lady Wolf and a Wolf running the course that day.
Heavener’s Barbara Johnson and Frank Cruz both qualified as individuals for next weekend’s state meet by being one of the top five individuals not on a state-qualifying team at Saturday morning’s Class 3A Regional Meet.
