BOKOSHE â€” Hunter Traylorâ€™s two free throws with a second left in regulation lifted the Bokoshe Lady Tigers to a 54-53 victory over the Arkoma Lady Mustangs on Tuesday night at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse.
The Lady Tigers saw the Lady Mustangs take a 53-52 lead with six seconds left, setting up Traylorâ€™s heroics.
Pocola 43, Heavener 42: In Pocola, Brooklyn Mortonâ€™s free throw with 17 seconds left broke a 42-all tie to allow the Lady Indians to get the victory.
Leflore 58, Clayton 23: In Clayton, the Lady Savages jumped out to a 15-2 lead after a period and never trailed.
POCOLA â€” A fast start by the Pocola Indians was rewarded with a home victory Tuesday night as they downed the Heavener Wolves 50-34 at the Pocola Gym.
The Indians jumped out to a 16-0 lead after a period and never relinquished their advantage.
Arkoma 77, Bokoshe 70: At Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse, the Mustangs, who trailed the Tigers by the score of 18-17 after a period, outscored the hosts 60-52 over the final three quarters to get the come-from-behind win.
Panama 65, Keota 50: In Panama, the Razorbacks jumped out to an 18-8 lead after a period and never lost the lead.
Behind great hustle plays and 26 points from Eufaula's Alyssa Banks,Â the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings won 74-53 over the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers on Monday night at Claud C. Dunlap Fieldhouse in Wilburton.
DeAngelo Smith's 3-point basket with 3:09 left to play in the game gave the Vikings the lead for good as they held on for a 73-69 win over the Mountaineers in Monday night's second game as the Vikings got the season sweep of their archrivals.
The LeFlore County Soccer Associationâ€™s spring 2015 registration is now opened. Registration closes Feb. 2. There will be a coaches meeting is Feb. 17.
Practices will start the week of Feb. 19, with games starting Feb. 28.

The second annual Hungry Like the Wolf 5k/10k fun run/walk and two-mile walk will take place beginning at noon Feb. 21 at Blues Park in Heavener. Race-day registration and packet pick-up will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Packets may also be picked up from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at Heavener High School.
There will not be a Week 22 Poteau Daily Newsâ€™ Pigkin Picks Contest winner due to a technicality on the Pro Bowl, which took place Sunday in Glendale, Ariz.
For the second straight season, the Pro Powl was not the traditional AFC vs. NFC format, but two Hall of Famers, this year being Michael Irvin and Cris Carter after it was Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice last season, drafting all-star teams comprised from both conferences.
Due to the ballot saying AFC vs. NFC, the Team Irvin vs. Team Carter format would not allow for the participants in that weekâ€™s contest to have their ballot count.
Donnie Lee James, 66, of Heavener died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, in Heavener. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at New Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Edgar Lewis Cookson-Guinn, 86, of Keota died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, in Spiro. Edgar was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Antlers to Andrew Davis and Vanita (Brigance) Cookson. Edgar was a mechanic for Bob Smedley.
He was preceded by his sisters, Corrina and Josie; son, Allen Guinn; and stepfather, Edgar Guinn, the man who raised him.
Eldwin Bryant, 61, of Kinta died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Jan. 3, 1954, in McAlester to Frank and Loeta (Powell) Bryant.
Eldwin worked at local coal mines many years before going to work at Fort Howard/Georgia Pacific in the shipping department. Although he had been unable to work since February 2014, he officially retired in November 2014 due to a prolonged illness.
Margie Lee Allen. 88, of Poteau died Dec. 26, 2014.
