Cherokee County Law Enforcement, We Help The Missing and the family of Promise Nicole Raines, a 16-year-old girl who went missing from Tahlequah, are asking for the publicâ€™s assistance in locating her.
Promise Raines is reported to have left her home in the early morning hours of June 8, 2015 and has not been in contact with her mother. Some reports said she may have left with a boyfriend but he has denied seeing Promise.
The Freeze, an Oklahoma softball team composed of 4 and 5-year-olds, is gaining national attention for playing ball in their Elsa gowns.

For the second straight day, the first day of action in the Red Oak Summer Slam softball tournament was rained out at all three sites â€” Carl Albert State College, both fields in Red Oak and Wilburton â€” for today after being so on the eventâ€™s originally-scheduled starting day on Wednesday.
As of press time, it was uncertain what was going to be done, or if the entire event was just going to be a wash.

MIAMI, Okla. (AP) â€” The Oklahoma Department of Human Services will cut 200 positions while adding 300 child welfare workers to help address the high number of children in state custody, director Ed Lake said Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Sheree Powell estimated that up to 60 of the 200 positions are currently filled by employees. The agency is offering a voluntary severance package that includes longevity and service payments to the workers, but if not enough people accept the buyout offer, a reduction in force might be implemented.
The Adult Learning Center GED graduation ceremonies will be tonight, June 16 at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center in Poteau. Around 36-37 graduates are expected to receive their GED.
