The Pocola Indians entertained the Gore Pirates on Friday night at John Carter Field in their first scrimmage of the 2015 football season. The Indians scored three times, while holding the Pirates out of the end zone for the entire contest.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The former wife of billionaire Oklahoma energy tycoon Harold Hamm, who was awarded nearly $1 billion in a divorce settlement, is now suing Hamm over the sale of a company the two co-owned.

The lawsuit by Sue Ann Arnall alleges the $4.5 million sale in 2005 of the parent company and sole shareholder of Jolette Oil LLC to Continental Resources was below market value. It asks for damages in excess of $10,000.

TALIHINA — The Talihina Lady Golden Tigers got a home win Thursday afternoon, beating the Arkoma Lady Mustangs 10-4.
The Lady Golden Tigers scored three runs in the first inning, then added four more in the second to take a 7-0 lead after two innings.
Spiro 5, Roland 0: In Spiro, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead after an inning, which was more than enough run support for Shakyrah Gladness, who got the seven-inning victory as she threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

Whitesboro baseball pitcher two-hits Clayton at home in battle of Bulldogs

WHITESBORO — Whitesboro pitcher Sawyer Adams got his first win of the season as he two-hit Clayton in an 8-0 victory in a game of Bulldogs that went only five innings due to the run rule.

Final two games of CASC Fall Classic rained out, with the whole final day of Oktaha Tournament, Robbers (UPDATE)

Most of the final day of action at the 20th annual Carl Albert State College Fall Baseball Classic, with all of the final day's worth of games at both the Oktaha Softball Tournament and the Robbers Cave Shootout softball tournament in Wilburton, were rained out Saturday.
The CASC Classic finals between Wister and Red Oak will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at Poteau High School's Town Creek Park after the Wildcats play their regularly-scheduled home game at 4 p.m. against McCurtain.
The third-place game between Crowder and Kiowa will take place at 5 p.m. Monday at Town Creek Park.

Three local teams got victories on the opening day of the 20th annual Carl Albert State College Fall Classic, which took place at Wister and Cameron due to CASC’s Ival Goodman Field’s bleachers being classified as condemned.
At the Wister site, the homestanding Wildcats blanked the Smithville Braves 11-0 after the Braves handled the McCurtain Bulldogs 11-1. The final game of the night saw the Crowder pitcher Hunter Motley one-hit the Leflore Savages 9-1.

Heavener, Wister get two wins on opening day of Oktaha Tournament; Lady Pirates get first victory of 2015 season, defeat Stilwell before losing to host Oktaha

OKTAHA — The Heavener Lady Wolves and the Wister Lady Wildcats each posted two wins on the opening day of the Oktaha Tournament on Thursday. The Lady Wolves downed Warner 4-1 before handling the Sequoyah-Tahlequah junior varsity 6-0.
The Lady ’Cats defeated last weekend’s Pocola Tournament champion Vian Lady Wolverines 7-1, then beat Sallisaw-Central 6-1.
The Poteau Lady Pirates got their first victory of the season with a 7-4 win over Stilwell, but lost to the tournament-host Lady Tigers 9-3.

Spiro looks good in first scrimmage of season

OKMULGEE — The Spiro Bulldogs had their moments in their first preseason football scrimmage of the season Thursday night against the host Okmulgee Bulldogs and three Tulsa schools — Hale, McLain and Webster.
