CAMERON â Cameron starter Alex Humphries sat down four of the first five hitters he faced and the Yellowjackets never looked back scoring a 10-0 run-rule victory on the Panola Bearcats Friday afternoon.
Poteau High School wrestler Tyler Tustin was named as the starting 138-pounder for the East team at the 2013 All State Games this July. Tustin will face Anadarko's BlakeÂ Trescott.
Tustin finished his career 168-8, which put him as the leader in most career wins and pins as well as highest career winning percentage.
Talihina Lady Golden Tiger basketball player Tara Hawkins has been named to the East team for the 2013 Oklahoma Girls Basketabll Coaches Association All-State Games, which will be June 1 in Norman.
Hawkins averaged 11.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 steals this past season with 62 blocked shots. She scored 319 points, was 73-of-152 (45 percent) from the field, 28-of-91 (31 percent) on 3-point shooting and 89-of-129 (70 percent) in free-throw shooting. She had 224 rebounds, 90 assists and 89 steals.
WARNER â The Carl Albert Lady Vikings softball team picked up a pair of road wins Thursday afternoon against the Connors State College Cowgirls.
The Lady Vikings got a run-ruled 15-6 victory in the opener, then broke a 4-all tie in the seventh inning for a 5-4 win.
Amos âAurbieâ Humphries, 87, of Poteau died Friday, March 15, 2013, in Poteau.Â Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau. Burial will be in Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore. The family with visit with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â A Democratic House member who shouted at a Republican colleague following a late-night floor session has apologized on the House floor.
Heavener Democrat James Lockhart delivered a brief but emotional apology Wednesday from the well at the front of the House. He then received a standing ovation.
Following a floor session on Tuesday that lasted until midnight, Lockhart could be heard shouting at Faxon Republican Rep. Don Armes, who was presiding over the chamber. Several Democrats were frustrated Armes wouldn't recognize members of their party for various motions.
The Poteau Lady Pirates didn't let a six-day layoff bother them as they routed the Roland Rangers 12-1 in a four-inning, run-rule home game Thursday afternoon.
BROKEN ARROW â Poteau golfers Cody Shore and Hannah Ward won individual titles at the Tulsa McLain/TSST Tournament, which took place Tuesday and Wednesday at Forest Ridge Golf Course.
Shore shot a 74 to win the tournament, which he clinched on his final hole with a birdie putt.
As a team, the Pirates were fourth with a team score of 341, and were the highest Class 4A school to place among the Class 5A and 6A teams who were in the 30-team field.
