Behind five double-figure scorers and stingy first-half defense, the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings routed the Oklahoma Wesleyan University junior varsity 92-42 Friday night in Bartlesville.

The Oklahoma State University 2011 Christmas Baseball Camps will be next month at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater.
As I mentioned last week, this week will not have any high school basketball, other than teams having a practice or two, even a scrimmage, due to Thanksgiving Break.
The only activity going on this week is compliments of the Carl Albert State College basketball teams. After playing the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference openers Monday night at home against Western Oklahoma State College, the CASC teams will be in holiday weekend events Friday and Saturday, the women in Kansas City, Kan., and the men in Plano, Texas.
I've been blessed for the past 10 days in seeing three of the smaller school in Leflore County boys basketball teams play. I have seen Cameron, Wister and Leflore play. I believe that any one of these three schools could be a major player in the 2012 Leflore County Tournament.
Spiro, Heavener, Talihina and Poteau had better be on watch for any of these three as they could claim the title.
I saw Cameron defeat Wister by a point, but I believe that the Savages might be the sleeper in the tournament.

LeFlore County Emergency Management, EMS, the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies are in the south part of the county assisting a number of people stranded by flood waters.
Reports that massive flooding between Cedar Lake and Big Cedar as well as in the Wister area have washed away camping trailers and vehicles. There have been a number of swift water rescues since approximately 8 p.m.
This following a flood warning issued earlier by the National Weather Service.

The Leflore Savages handled the Bokoshe Tigers 53-4, while the Lady Tigers clawed past the Lady Savages 54-22 Thursday night at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse.
