"Spider Webb was never lost in any crowd — he was always at home wherever he was," according to lifelong friend Dr. John Chitwood.
Wayne "Spider" Webb, longtime Poteau businessman, died Sunday. He was 73.
Webb's colorful nickname, auto dealership and later his farm implements business were well-known in LeFlore County and beyond.
He had been in declining health for some time, but remained involved in his business and with local charities.
"Spide Webb was full of life, high energy. Wherever Spider was, it was a positive and uplifting crowd," said Mayor Jeff Shockley.
