TULSA, Okla. (AP) â€” The attorney for an Oklahoma man arrested in the 1992 disappearance and deaths of two women and a girl says his client is innocent and that charges against him are part of the state's ploy to get other family members to talk.
Bristow resident Grover Prewitt Jr. is charged with being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder in the deaths of Wendy Camp, her 6-year-old daughter, Cynthia Britto, and Camp's sister-in-law, Lisa Kregear. Prewitt has pleaded not guilty.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€” The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board has voted 4-1 to grant clemency to a death row inmate who's to be executed this month for the rape and murder of his girlfriend's mother.
The board voted Thursday to recommend that the death sentence of 39-year-old Brian Darrell Davis be commuted to life in prison without parole.
The recommendation now goes to Gov. Mary Fallin for approval or rejection.

June is here, and my schedule for this month is on my fridge. When Paula penciled in the games, I could not believe that we only had one day off in the month.
Of course, we had a rainout, and I have rescheduled a game for that day. I have decided that I may have to go back to work to get some rest.
On the bright side, that rain out gave me a chance to do some fishing with Chuck Restine.
We headed to Lake Tenkiller and tried to catch some smallmouth bass. I managed to catch one, along with a couple of black bass and a couple of sand bass.
Easton Ray, 6 months, enjoys his pool for the first time on a recent hot afternoon. Easton is the son of Cory and Nikki Ray.
SMITHVILLE, Miss. (AP) â€” A group of volunteers from a Mississippi town that was hit hard by a tornado in 2011 will travel this week to help victims of a deadly twister that hit Oklahoma.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal says volunteers from Smithville Baptist Church will leave Wednesday to take a trailer full of supplies to Moore, Okla.
A deadly EF5 tornado hit devastated Smithville in April 2011. Sixteen people were killed and 153 homes, four churches, the Town Hall, the police headquarters and 14 of the 15 businesses in the one-square-mile town were destroyed.
FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) â€” A fall 2016 opening is planned for the $50 million U.S. Marshals Museum on the banks of the Arkansas River in Fort Smith, organizers announced Tuesday.
The museum's board of directors said the groundbreaking for the museum will be held Sept. 24, 2014. The Southwest Times Record reported Wednesday that the groundbreaking will coincide with the release of a commemorative coin marking the 225th anniversary of the Marshals Service.

The entry fee is $400 per team.
Deadline to entry is June 26. League will begin play on July 8 or 9.
