Editorâ€™s note: Thursdayâ€™s games were rained out and will not be rescheduled. Also, some of Fridayâ€™s match-ups have changed due to some teams not coming. The updated schedule is listed below.

The LeFlore County Bass Club had its last open bass tournament of 2014 on Saturday at Wards Landing on Wister Lake. There were 13 boats filled with anglers who caught 27 fish that weighed a collective 69.3 pounds. Each fish averaged 2.57 pounds, with nine limits â€” which consisted of three fish â€” were caught.
Danny Love and Melvin McKay won the event with 9.68 pounds, which included McKayâ€™s big bass winner, weighing 5.52 pounds. The duo won $275, while McKay got an extra $110 for the big bass winner.
Tickets still remain for the Poteau Piratesâ€™ football season opener in the Hootenâ€™s Kickoff Classic against Alma, Ark., at Fort Smith [Ark.] Northside High School at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 4.
Tickets for adults and students cost $7 per person, while pre-schoolers will be admitted for free.

Glen Curry, 74, of Spiro died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Russell Transue, 69, of Talihina died Thursday, July 30, 2014, at his home.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Talihina First Assembly of God under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Services.
John Wheat, 75, of Talihina died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Victory Baptist Church in Talihina under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Services.
Judy Ramsey, 55. of Spiro died Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
The family will hold private services at a later date. Mallory-Martin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Leslie Earl Odom, 83, of Poteau died Wednesday Aug. 6, 2014, in Poteau.
Leslie was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Poteau to Henry Archie and Callie (Wiley) Odom. Leslie was a welder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James Odom, Henry Odom and Pauline Scott.Â
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€” Gov. Mary Fallin does not plan to attend a fundraising event for the Garvin County Republican Party that a flier says will include discussion of the Ku Klux Klan, the governor's spokesman said Wednesday.
Fallin, a Republican who is seeking re-election to a second four-year term, is listed as the guest speaker in a flier distributed by Republican organizers in the southern Oklahoma county for the Aug. 23
"GOP Bean Feed" event featuring a meal of beans and cornbread.
