The player who scores the most points is usually the one that gets the most attention in basketball, but thatâ€™s not important to Red Oakâ€™s Paige Campagna.
Campagna played in the All-State Small-School Girls Basketball Game Wednesday night at the Oral Roberts University Mabee Center in Tulsa. Defense is what matters most to her.
Campagna did not score but impacted the defense, making two steals, two assists and grabbing a rebound for the Small East in its 80-50 rout of the Small West.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€” Gov. Mary Fallin says the federal government has rejected the state's request for disaster assistance for 19 Oklahoma counties affected by severe weather, flooding and tornadoes in May and June.
Fallin said Wednesday the Federal Emergency Management Agency denied the state's request for assistance to individuals and businesses in those counties.
A Sallisaw man was injured after his vehicle rolled over trapping him inside.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Tristean Simmons, 19, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pickup at about 6 a.m. on U.S. Highway 64 east of Sallisaw when the accident occurred.
The report shows Simmons' truck left the left side of the road, he overcorrected, re-entered the road and the truck rolled one and a quarter times. The truck came to rest on the driver's side, trapping Simmons inside. He was freed by the Sallisaw Fire Department.
Poteau Police is requesting the publicâ€™s assistance in identifying the following person. She is a white female driving a gray small car. She is a person of interest in an ongoing investigation

Spiroâ€™s Jason Hickman set two goals before embarking on his high school baseball career. One was met by earning a spot on the East team for the All-State Large School Baseball Game, which took place Tuesday night at Oral Roberts Universityâ€™s R.L. Johnson Stadium in Tulsa. Hickman played center field Tuesday night.
â€śItâ€™s been the biggest honor I have ever had in my life,â€ť Hickman said. â€śIâ€™ve been looking forward to this since the first day of my freshman year. This was what I wanted throughout high school, that and a state championship.â€ť
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€” Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin said Tuesday she was trying to be a good mother when she let her daughter park a "nice trailer" on the grounds of the governor's mansion, but that the vehicle runs afoul of an obscure state regulation and Christina Fallin must move the home on wheels.
UPDATE: Poteau Police were able to identify the man in the picture with the public's help.
