Three separate accidents
over the weekend claimed
the lives of two people and
left several others injured.
On Friday a single vehicle
accident claimed the life of a
Shady Point woman after the
motorcycle she was riding on
hit a bridge support.
According to the accident
report released by the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol,
Timmy Sprabary, 44, of
Wister, was driving a 2008
Yamaha motorcycle with
April Gilgo, 35, of Shady
Point as his passenger.
The two were traveling
westbound on the Reichert-
Summerfield Road near
Hodgen when Sprabary
failed to negotiate a curve.
There are a host of very
serious allegations being
made by several Bokoshe
residents who filed a class
action lawsuit last week in
LeFlore County District
Court.
The lawsuit filed against
more than 23 defendants,
including AES Shady Point,
on October 6 in LeFlore
County District Court states
that the Defendants’ conduct
in the transport, storage
and disposal of waste
materials from a coal burning
power plant and oil and
gas drilling operations has
resulted in millions of tons
of waste material being
transported and deposited
in a huge pile at the disposal
