Rumors that Postal
employees at the Poteau
location could face the loss
of their jobs have been

It had recently been
rumored that the Poteau Post
Office was facing the loss of
up to three employees due
the postal downsize and budget
cuts that have been affecting
post officeâ€™s across the
nation. But according to
Montague, that is not so.
â€śEmployees at the Poteau
location will not lose jobs.
They wonâ€™t face lay-offâ€™s or
firing,â€ť said Montague. â€śIf
A local political party appeared before
the LeFlore County Commissioners to ask
for an investigative audit of the county.
Dewey Harrison, a representative of the
LeFlore County Tea Party was given five
minutes to speak to the commissioners
regarding the ongoing issue. The exchange
was heated from the start.
â€śThe Tea Party has now decided we
would like to ask for an investigative
audit.â€ť Harrison said. â€śWe have examined
the audits closely, and if there is any disagreement
here we would like for you to
tell us weâ€™re wrong, but the audits clearly
Commissioners to discuss a county-wide speed limit.
