According to a report
from the Oklahoma
Employment Security
Commission, state unemployment
rates have continued
to rise throughout
the month of July.
The OESC states in
their report that in July,
Oklahoma’s seasonally
adjusted unemployment
rate worsened, rising to
5.5 percent over the course
of the month. National
unemployment over the
same period decreased by
0.1 percent to reach 9.1
percent unemployment.
Over the year, the state's
seasonally adjusted unemployment
rate has declined
by a total of 1.5 percent.
From July 2010 to July
2011, statewide unemployment
More than 300 students filled the halls of the Poteau Primary Schools as participation
in the LeFlore County Boys and Girls Club and the 91st Century Program
continues to rise. Fourth grade students play sparkle (a spelling game) and put the

Allegations have been
made that a registered sex
offender has been going
door to door within the
county introducing himself
as a member of the
Jehovah's Witnesses and
offering home Bible study
to unsuspecting families.

Organization in which
they forwarded us a chilling
story about what a
local family felt was a
close call.
According to the email
a parent of a 13 year old
daughter and 15 year old
son had been doing home
study with a another couple
who were of the
Jehovah's Witnesses faith.
