Grant trickles down locally

At least one local organization will benefit
from a Drug Free Community Support
Grant.
National Drug Control Policy Director Gil
Kerlikowske has announced $12.3 million in
the form of grants to Drug Free Community
support programs in 87 communities and 20
new DFC Mentoring grants across the country.
These awards are in addition to the $76
million in continuation grants being simultaneously
released to 607 currently funded
DFC coalitions and twelve DFC Mentoring
continuation coalitions. The grants will provide
the community coalitions with needed

terrorist attack.
The loss of life from
that single invasion of our
country left millions in
mourning and a country at
war. September 11, 2001
began as any other morning
for people across
America but by 8:46 a.m.
our nation would be in
shock and chaos.
Four international flights
from separate U.S airports
carrying more than 240
passengers combined, were
highjacked that atrocious
morning by 19 al-Qaeda
terrorists intent on devastation

Shredding construction

Construction crews keep to the grind Thursday afternoon as they continue to prepare
foundational dirt work, build forms and pour the cement used in the formation
of the new skate park. The slopes are set to keep the wonders on wheels in full ollies,
kick flips and pop shove it as long as their stamina allows.
