June 6th
Poteau Public Works is replacing the water main on Witteville Road between North Broadway and Witteville Drive. Public Works supervisor Bo Bohannon recommends motorist use an alternate route if possible until the project is completed at the end of July.
June 5th
Poteau Theatre is the site of today's Cash Mob. Poteau Theatre will be offering a Wednesday Matinee starting at 2 p.m.
Admission price is $5.
Poteau Theatre will be showing Snow White and The Huntsmen, Men In Black 3 and The Avengers.
Owners Jon and Amber Pickel have made great improvements this past year to insure that our area has the latest state of the art digital entertainment.
The Tower Drive-In has also gone digital.
Most people like to relax on vacation and for some that means taking a leisurely stroll through the woods and maybe spending the night in a tent. For others, that sort of weekend adventure is inadequate. For them, an adventure has to move them far outside of their comfort zone and push them to the limit. Chuck Lewis, Director of the Carl Albert State Physical Plant, is decidedly a member of the latter group.
June 1st
Officials with AES Shady Point have announced the resignation of the plant manager.
According to a press release issued by the company, Ruben Soroeta will be resigning his position to pursue new enterprises.
The company said that Soroeta, who has been the plant manager for a little more than four years, felt the decision to leave was one of the hardest he has had to make but felt that it was in the best interest of his family to do so.
