Moments after state employees reported their oil truck stolen, deputies with the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department located the vehicle and arrested two men.
Frank Alan Detter, 52, of Muse, and Charles Downing, 34, of Hodgen, are facing charges of larceny of an automobile in connection with the theft.
The arrest report shows a battery and Kenwood stereo stolen from the state vehicle were found in Detter and Downing's possession. The two men were stopped by deputies near the location of the abandoned vehicle.
The report of a grassfire Thursday afternoon on Quays Road near Shady Point resulted in multiple agencies responding.
The fire was atop a hill in a heavily wooded and leaf covered area approximately 100 yards from a residence. Shady Point and Panama Fire Departments were able to extinguish the fire before it endangered the residence.
