The Poteau Daily News has a new Facebook page.
“Actually we made the switch a few months ago. Word has been slow to get out because we left the old page up,” said PDN publisher Robert Shearon.
“The old page has been eliminated and we are hoping everyone will find their way to our new page. We keep it posted with links to news and sports stories, and some readers have posted comments and notices,” Shearon said.
A rash of burglaries over the last two weeks has resulted in three men arrested in connection with part of them.
Two men, Levi Poor, 25, of Heavener, and Bradley Steelman, 35, of Cameron, were arrested after several guns were stolen from a Hontubby home on Jan. 6. According to the arrest affidavit, Poor told officers he stayed in the vehicle while Steelman went into the home and stole the guns.
Both men have been charged with second degree burglary, knowingly concealing stolen property and conspiracy to commit burglary. They are being held in the LeFlore County Detention Center.
Hosanna Christian Fellowship will hold a weekend crusade Jan. 25-27 with guest speaker Larry Mosely of Tulsa.
Services will start at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
Hosanna is a Bible-based, non-denominational church focused on
uniting people in the family of God.
It is located at 21920 Branson Road, one mile north of Walmart on U.S. 59.
Childcare will be provided for children second grade and younger.
