Search for missing plane, pilot continues

October 23, 2013

The search for a plane believed to have crashed near Pipe Springs Road resumed Wednesday morning after nightfall halted the search Tuesday night.
According to the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department, the search began after they were notified by the Federal Aviation Administration that a Piper 28, black, yellow and white in color had failed to make it's destination.
Elmer Ray Broadbent, 71, of Heber Springs, Ark., reportedly left Searcy, Ark., Monday at about 1:30 p.m headed to Elk Springs, Okla. Broadbent never arrived, according to officials.
