Heat didn't put much of a dent on the flocks of festival goers who attended the 66th annual Choctaw Nation Labor Day Festival.
On Saturday, with heat indices in the 100s, people packed the festival grounds as they played games, rode rides, shopped and learned about Choctaw heritage.
Emergency Medical Services Director Dave Grovdahl said the majority of the 23 people EMS took to the hospital during the festival were suffering from heat related illnesses.
