Wesley McDonald, a broadband technician for Suddenlink, prepares a hamburger for Rhett Sulser of Poteau as part of Suddenlinkâ€™s annual customer appreciation event. Customers were invited to come by the companyâ€™s Poteau office for free hamburgers and hotdogs on Monday. The dictionary defines them as â€śa thin cake made of batter, poured on a hot, greased skillet and cooked on both sides until brown."
You may have called them griddle cakes, flapjacks, an excuse for lots of syrup â€” maybe even pancakes. Whatever you call them, they will be great breakfast eating on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Spiro First United Methodist Church.
And that's just the start of a fun- and food-filled day as the annual Car and Arts and Crafts Shows get underway.
