The Poteau Chamber of Commerce and LeFlore County Development Coalition will be hosting guest speaker Mike Patterson, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation this week.Â
Patterson will be discussing area transportation issues. According to Chamber CEO Karen Wages, topic include Oklahoma Highway 112 expansion, Pocola bypass and the completion of U.S. Highway 59 modifications.
The meeting will be held Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center located at 105 Reynolds Avenue in Poteau.

The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office is seeking the help of county residents in locating a woman considered armed and dangerous.
Jozie Marie Baugh, 34, of Talihina, is wanted for felony warrants issued in LeFlore County. Baugh has been convicted of drug charges and theft. On Saturday at about 12:15 a.m. she allegedly fled from LeFlore County Sheriff's Deputy Ray Hines during a traffic stop on Lenox Road that resulted in the recovery of drugs.
Carl Albert State College is starting off the new year by saving lives through blood donation with Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI). Most healthy adults 16 and older are encouraged to donate blood Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the ballroom fromÂ 9:30 a.m.Â toÂ 3:30 p.m.Â or Wednesday, Jan. 8, fromÂ 11 a.m.Â toÂ 4:30 p.m.
