OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A federal appeals court has republished an order authorizing a challenge to Oklahoma's "rain god" license plate after failing to provide a dissenting opinion.
The new order published Wednesday still reinstates Keith Cressman's claim that plates featuring Allan Houser's "Sacred Rain Arrow" sculpture are an affront to his Christian beliefs, but adds a dissent by Circuit Judge Paul J. Kelly Jr.
MILFORD, Conn. (AP) — A 53-year-old man serving time in a federal prison in Oklahoma has been extradited to Connecticut to face murder charges.
The New Haven Register reports Luis Rodriguez was presented in Superior Court Wednesday morning, charged in the May, 2001 strangulation of 28-year-old Kelsey Monahon.
Monahan, who was one month pregnant, was found bound, gagged and unconscious by her husband in their Milford apartment on May 25, 2001.
She died three days later at Bridgeport Hospital.
An EagleMed medical helicopter out of Mcalester crashed yesterday evening at the Choctaw Nation Health Care Center in Talihina, killing one and injuring three.
Officials with the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police investigated the crash with the assistance of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, according to emergency responders.
A patient on board the helicopter did not survive the crash, according to officials. The flight nurse on board received serious injuries and was taken to St. Francis Trauma Center in Tulsa. The pilot and medic were treated and released for minor injuries.

A Spiro teen who went missing Monday evening at Bluff Hole Park in Mulberry has been found dead.
Timothy Thompson, 19, of Spiro was swimming with three friends at the park when his friends said they noticed Thompson was having trouble swimming, according to wire reports.
A search for Thompson began Monday at about 6 p.m. but dive teams were unable to locate him before it became dark so the search was called off until dive teams could see. Wire reports say Thompson's family and friends continued the search overnight until the divers returned to the water Tuesday morning.
FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — Federal and state authorities say 23 people have been indicted on federal drug trafficking charges in western Arkansas.
US Attorney Conner Eldridge in Fort Smith announced the indictments Tuesday with officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Homeland Security; Sebastian County Sheriff's Office; and police departments in Fort Smith and Van Buren.
Authorities say the crimes occurred in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and California.
EUFAULA (AP) — Officials say a worker who was injured in a May 7 explosion at a sandblasting plant has died.
A spokeswoman for Alexander Burn Center at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa says 40-year-old Donald Hamilton Jr. died Sunday from injuries suffered in the blast.
Hamilton and another worker were burned in the explosion at the Ford Sandblasting plant near Eufaula. Plant owner Mike Ford tells the Tulsa World that the blast and subsequent fire were caused by a "flash explosion."
Ford says the plant employed five people and they don't yet know whether it will reopen.

A traveling monument memorializing fallen veterans will be coming to an area near you this week.
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute wall will receive an honor escort from Old Fort Harley Davidson in Fort Smith, Ark., as it makes its way to Roye Park in Stigler on Wednesday. 
The honor escort is open to all riders and vehicles. Staging will be at 3:30 at Fort Smith and the procession will travel down U.S. Highway 271 /Oklahoma highway 9, through Pocola and Spiro, to the Haskell County destination.
The wall will be on display June 20-23.
WAURIKA (AP) — Authorities in southern Oklahoma are searching for a boy who went missing while camping near Waurika Lake.
Authorities say the boy disappeared Saturday night near the Kiowa Park One campsite at Waurika Lake. Lawton television station KSWO reports that authorities are searching the lake in case the boy drowned.
Authorities say the boy is between the ages of 10 and 12 and is from Roff.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is handling the investigation but has released few details about what may have happened.
