According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Barbara Montgomery, 43, of Red Oak was killed Friday night in a four-car accident east of Fanshawe.
The accident report shows a 2012 Nissan driven by a Poteau woman east on U.S. Highway 270 failed to see another car stopped to make a left hand turn. When the driver of the Nissan took evasive action by entering the westbound lane she struck head on a 2005 Dodge that Montgomery was a passenger in, according to the accident report.
The Pocola Quarterback Club held a garage sale and participated in the Dodge test drive event Saturday raising $4,600 to help the school's football players attend training camps.

The sirens will sound in Poteau at noon Thursday [April 10] as the city tests the system.
A beginner and intermediate smartphone workshop will be held at the Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau on April 11. The workshops will include use of the iPhone and iPad as business tools.
Registration is $15 for one workshop or $25 for both.

Poteau Police and LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services are responding [April 9 at 2:25 p.m.] to a car v. pedestrian accident on North Broadway near Jensen's Lube.
One person is reported to have minor injuries.
Several items are on the Pocola Board of Trustee's agenda for tonight [April 8] at 7 p.m.
Pocola Fire Chief Wesley Riggs is on the agenda for termination and a replacement is named should the council vote in favor of termination.
The meeting is held at City Hall in Pocola on South Pocola Boulevard.
Hundreds of people spent the day at the Eastern Oklahoma Ag Trade Show held at the LeFlore County fairgrounds Tuesday [April 8] afternoon.

Panama residents are under a boil order as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after a sewer line and water line were broken in the same location.
Panama Chief of Police John Whiteaker said the Panama Water Department has issued the boil order until further notice.
Poteau Police and Fire are responding to a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Holson and Harper Avenues in Poteau [April 7 5:20 p.m.]
One vehicle is reported to have flipped onto its top and one person possibly injured.
Representatives of Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center, the LeFlore County Hospital Authority and other medical providers spoke to the LeFlore County Commissioners Monday regarding a vote for a half cent sales tax to support the hospital.
Further discussion is planned after the representatives of the hospital provide the commissioners with detailed information about the expenditures of the money being sought before they will vote on an election resolution.
