Oklahoma gasoline prices jump 19 cents in just 28 days

May 13, 2015

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Gasoline prices are rising again in Oklahoma.

AAA Oklahoma said Tuesday that the price of regular self-serve gasoline averages $2.41 per gallon, 19 cents more than the average price just 28 days ago.

AAA spokesman Chuck Mai says crude oil prices have been trending higher since mid-March. Slowing U.S. oil production, a weakening U.S. dollar and the expected increase in demand in China are also affecting local gas prices.

But Mai says plentiful supplies of oil and high OPEC output should help limit how high crude oil prices will go.
