Law enforcement are working many wrecks in LeFlore County as snowfall causes traffic issues today (Feb. 27 at 3:50 p.m.)
Snow is expected to continue until about 9 p.m. tonight.
Cavanal Chorale Showcase that was set for 7 p.m. February 27 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center in Poteau has been postponed due to weather Friday. The film screening of "To Light a Candle" has also bee postponed.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Midnight. Roads are becoming slick, especially on bridges, overpasses and untreated roads, the National Weather Service in Tulsa reported. The snow is expected to shift late tonight.
According to the National Weather Service winter weather is again on its way for Poteau and the LeFlore County area.
Here is the forecast from the NTW in Tulsa today [Feb. 27 at 12:45 p.m.:
A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonightâ€¨A 20 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 21. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

OKLAHOMA CITY â€“ A measure that would create Rural Opportunity Zones in counties across the state was approved by the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
At about 10:15 a.m. [Thursday, Feb. 26] Poteau Fire Department responded to a fire at Blondie's restaurant on North Broadway in Poteau.
No flames could be seen from outside the building but several fire trucks were on scene.
The LeFlore County Maidens of Mayhem are a local roller derby team. They are currently putting together a male derby team, 18 and over. Contact them through their Facebook page if interested.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) â€” Oklahoma could join a growing list of states calling for a convention to be held to amend the U.S. Constitution.
The Senate Rules Committee will consider a bill on Wednesday calling for a constitutional convention to be held to consider amendments to restrict the federal government's power and impose term limits for members of Congress.
Former U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn visited with House and Senate Republicans on Monday and urged them to pass the bill.

DOW, Okla. (AP) â€” Police say that a man who was hand-cuffed from behind drove away with a sheriff deputy's cruiser during a traffic stop.
The McAlester News-Capital (http://bit.ly/1LhRva6 ) reports that 33-year-old Temple Clancy was hand-cuffed and placed in the front passenger seat of Deputy Johnny Jenkins' cruiser while officers searched his car. Clancy gained control of the cruiser, and sped away.
