December 19th
Joe Darneal, 60, of Spiro died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Victory Worship Center under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Jerry Wayne Baker, 60, of Poteau died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in Poteau.
Jerry was born April 29, 1951, in Falls City, Neb., to LeMoyne Cecil and Anna Marie (Schlosser) Baker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in Vietnam. He was employed at Pansy Kidd Middle School in Poteau. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Poteau. Jerry loved to play with his grandchildren, do woodworking, collect coins for his children and grandchildren, and raise Rottweilers. He always worked hard for his family. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Russell Plummer, 67, of Spiro died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Mallory-Martin Chapel under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.

Mark Allen, 49, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Talihina. Graveside services will be held at the New Talihina Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.

Edwina L. Schlosser, 74, formerly of Heavener, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, in Poteau. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener.

Kenneth Dan Avery, 72, of Hackett, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, graveside at Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.

Charles William Vineyard, 80, of Poteau died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, in Spiro. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau. Burial will be in Vaughn Cemetery at Gilmore under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Nyle Jones, 83, of Albion died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, in Plano, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Albion Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Raymond Wilson, 77, of Wister died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Raymond was born July 28, 1934, in Smithville to Eddie and Myrl (Romine) Wilson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Raymond was a retired educator/coach. Raymond was a former board member of Wister Public Schools and Jones Academy of the Choctaw Nation. He loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Susie Gray Farmer, 89, of Pocola, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. Susie was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Eufaula to John and Lona (Pipkins) Gray. She was a retired nurse. Susie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pocola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil E. Farmer; daughters, Sondra and Janet; sister, Lena Karl; and brothers, Henry, Paul and Robert Gray.
Survivors include her grandson, Michael Seaman of Van Buren, Ark.; great grandson, Dylan Seaman; and sister, Mildred Hamilton of Fort Smith.
