Alvin C. Schneider, 74, of Poteau died Monday, July
18, 2011, in Poteau. Alvin was born in Titusville, Pa., on
Oct. 23, 1936 to Nicolas and Hazel (Stufflebeam)
Schneider. Alvin worked in city maintenance.
Survivors include his wife, Leora of the home; three daugh-
ters, Lori Schneider McKeown of Fillmore, Calif., Chery
Schneider McGraw of Poteau, Connie Upton of Summerfield;
one son, Allen Schneider of Poteau; 23 grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Schneider of Titusville;
other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Charles Edward “Charley” Archey, 52, died Monday,
July 18, 2011, in Shady Point. Services will be held at 10
a.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Fairhill Cemetery Pavilion.
Burial will follow in Fairhill Cemetery under the direction
of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau.
Daisy “Mamaw” Bryant Abernathy, 91, of Bokoshe
died Monday, July 18, 2011, at home. Graveside services
will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at Milton
Cemetery, Milton.
Sandra Dietzman, 65, of Heavener died Sunday, July
17, 2011. Interment will be cremation. Arrangements aare
under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener.
Mary Adele Hensley, 94, of Octavia died July 14, 2011,
at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau. Services
were held Tuesday, July 19, at St. Catherine of Siena in
Talihina. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at
the Octavia Cemetery under the direction of Talihina
Funeral Home.
Billy Joe Richards, 68, of Hodgen died Friday, July 15,
2011, at Grove. Services will be held Wednesday, July 20,
at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at
Hodgen Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral
Home, Heavener.
Gary “Bub” Matthew Gibson, 27, of
Poteau died Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Gary
was born in Fort Smith, Ark., on Nov. 3,
1983 to Gary U. and Sharon Lynn
(Woodral) Gibson. Bub loved His Lord
and the Word of God. He was preceded in
death by his paternal grandparents, Clayton
and Patsy Gibson; maternal grandparents,
Fred and Doyce Woodral; and aunt, Rhonda Henson.
Survivors include his wife, Megan (Lindenau) Gibson of
the home; parents, Gary and Lynn Gibson of Howe; sisters,
Christi Lopez of Hodgen, Cheri Radwick of Howe; nieces,
