Bernell (Nell) Graves, 86, of Livermore, Calif., passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2011, in Livermore with her daughters by her side. She was born in Bokoshe on Dec. 22, 1925, the third and youngest daughter of Ada Belle (Martin) and William Edward Mason. Her father owned Mason Feed and General Store, where she worked while attending school in Bokoshe. Her father sold the business in 1942 and the family moved to Poteau, where she finished high school.Â
William Haskell “Sonny” Reed Jr., 78 of Howe died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Sonny was born Sept. 18, 1933, in Monroe to William Haskell and Beulah (Cain) Reed. Sonny was a rancher. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Don Haskell.Â
Lee H. Zuck, 89, of Poteau died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, in Heavener. Lee was born May 4, 1922, in Florence, Kan., to Arthur M. and Bertha (Poland) Zuck. Lee was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a retired Vocational Agriculture Teacher. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Belle Zuck; and grandson, Joshua Yandell.Â
