Maxine McCoy, 64, of Poteau died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, in Tulsa. Maxine was born Oct. 7, 1948, in Page to Isaac and Cordia (Graham) Jones. She was head cook at Poteau Upper Elementary for 34 years. Maxine was dearly loved and was a great member of the community. She loved to sit on her porch with her grandchildren. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin McCoy; her parents; grandson, Jacob “Jake” Freeman; brothers, Leo and Billy Jones; brother-in-law, Hank Holt.
