Maxcine Warren, 56, of Poteau died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in Tulsa. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at First United Methodist Church in Poteau. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Albert Marvin Ulrich

Albert “Marvin” Ulrich, 87, of Poteau, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Topeka, Kan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a charter pilot and retired salesman from Sears.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents, Charles and Junie Guedrey, who passed away before Marvin was 5 years old, and his adoptive parents, Fred and Lucy Ulrich; his beloved wife, Mary Margaret Ulrich; one son, James Scott Ulrich; and a sister, Charlotte Ramsey.

Paul Nelson Johnson
Paul Nelson Johnson, 82, of Leflore, formerly of McAlester, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at the Talihina Veterans Center.
Paul was born on Nov. 30, 1929, in Bristow to Loddie N. and Edith (Alcorn) Johnson. He grew up in Bristow and Slick. In March 1951 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the 14th Air Force, 323rd Bomb Wing, until his honorable discharge on Aug. 24, 1952.
